A Peony Symphony

The peonies in my garden always seem to bloom all at once and never stay at their peak for long. I brought armfuls into the studio and arranged them in simple glass vases, eager to capture their beauty before the petals began to fade. This original peony oil painting was painted from life, filling the room with color, fragrance, and the fleeting feeling that makes peonies so special.
